Sneak Peek! What's Cookin' Good Lookin'

Oooooh, you are going to love this die designed by Vicki Chrisman!  It's a 2 die Recipe Album set.  There are so many stamps, rubons and fun papers out there to create one of a kind recipe albums, and this die is the perfect canvas.  Plus, the accessories that come on this die, make it easy to create albums, cards and so much more.  

I used our chipboard, just plain, with a little inking around the edges, as the recipe album pages. This die is available with or without holes so if you are wanting to use a binding system you can.

Check out that perfect size pocket for a standard index/recipe card. Add the tab for easy grabbing.

So the real question is, is it a recipe album or a scrapbook? The answer is both.  You'll have something to pass down to your children or an unforgetable gift with the benefit of yummy recipes.  So have fun creatimg memorable albums with even more memorable family recipes. 

 

 

 

The Lost Wedding Display

You know when people find lost footage, old home movies of famous people or archives that were lost, well, that's what happened yesterday to me. I found a wedding display that Vicki Chrisman and I did almost 5 years ago. Vicki created all the floral pieces using Flowers #19, Flowers #6 and Quilling 1/8"  dies. I made the boxes and placemats using Borders #2, Box-Flower #1, Box #21, Box-Self-Closing #1 and Box #12. 

   

 

 

The borders are placed around the edge of a 12" x 12" sheet of Bling Cardstock from Bazzill which is also what the borders are cut from.

 
I know what you're thinking,"Boy, that seems like a lot of work".  When it comes down to it, it's the little things people remember and the special touches that you put into your wedding that make it truly unique and memorable.  Have fun creating stunning table settings by having all your bridesmaids and friends get together "like a party" to assemble. 

Shadow Box Dies

We wanted to give a big shout out to our friend Vicki Chrisman for landing a couple of her many incredible projects in the Spring issue of Paper Creations Magazine.  These Shadow box dies were designed by Vicki and coordinate with Crafty Secrets product.  What we love about them is that they are versatile and can be adapted to any style.

Back from Chicago, and look what I found!

CHA was so much fun and it was great to see many of you in our booth. I love the excitement and inspirational vibe that swirls around our booth at every show. So speaking of inspiration, I visited the Crafty Secrets and Pink Paislee booths and I'm dying to show you what they are doing with AccuCut dies.

So in the Crafty Secrets booth my friend Vicki Chrisman showed me a few of her projects, including one with the die she designed.

This was created using the Shadow Box-Portrait die.  If you love this one you will also love the Shadow Box-Landscape also designed by Vicki.

 

Vicki told me this is one of her favorite cards to work with and I can see why.  This is A2 Card-Scalloped #1. It's a great surface to decorate and the possibilities are endless.

Pink Paislee's booth was breathtaking. They used AccuCut dies to make beautiful unique decor for their booth.

 

See all the beautiful shapes hanging from the swag above their make and take station, those are made using Blossom-11 1/2" and Vintage 11 1/2"  Here's a closer look.

Here is another topiary ball using Flowers #25, Flowers #27, and Flowers #28

I also love this vase of branches with flowers attached to the branches.

So much creativity, you could almost explode thinking of everything you can do with an Accucut die. Once again thanks to all of you that stopped by to see us at CHA, and for those that could't make it...

See how easy it is to assemble the new Shadow Box die!

We just can't get enough of Vicki Chrisman's Shadow Box die! Vicki was doing demos of this die in the Crafty Secrets' Booth. Here is one that she made for us that is vintage-inspired. Retailers, this die would make an amazing kit or class!

She used Altered Fairies Creative Scraps by Crafty Secrets that were made especially to coordinate with this die. I love how the all of the images look great in the little frames. Here's a link to Vicki's blog where she demonstrates how to assemble it. It really gives you a feel for just how easy it is!

I can't resist giving you yet another sneak peek of another die we are introducing at CHA. I am so pleased to present you with this amazing die designed by Vicki Chrisman--the Shadow Box-Portrait die! It has a cool 3-D "shadow box" frame in the middle to really make your focal point pop.

In addition, Crafty Secrets has created some fabulous Crafty Scraps that coordinate perfectly. See the cute little girl on the moon and girl and boy with wings? So adorable!

You can create all kinds of projects--home decor items, photo keepsakes, 3-D note cards, shaker boxes, altered art and much more! Each side can fold in too if you'd like to secure it closed (see the flap on the left above).

Here's another project idea by Jen Cramer. This one has a more contemporary feel. What's so great about this die is that it includes accent shapes and frames to make it really easy to customize.

Craft retailers, this die is perfect for class projects and kits and will help you sell related products in your store.
