So as I was perusing on Pinterest I came across the most beautiful invitations using our Pinnovation™ dies. As I started to look further I noticed it wasn't just invitations, but was announcements, programs, placecards and so much more. I knew I just had to find out who was making these beautiful creations so that I could share it with you all on this blog.
Julie Travelino is the designer and owner of too chic & little shab For many years, Julie dabbled with making invitations. It was something many friends and family members always asked her to do. She quickly realized her passion for doing so and it became a hobby she truly enjoyed. Meanwhile, she was happily working in Human Resources and going to school for an MBA. It wasn’t until she had her first child in 2008 and quit working full-time to be a mom, that the thought of turning her hobby into a business came to mind. In 2009, she partnered with a friend who shared the same passion and started a custom invitation studio. Business took off! Therefore, in 2012 she opened up Too Chic & Little Shab Design Studio. She primarily sold on etsy, and experienced tremendous growth all in a year. Ultimately, she knew she always wanted to design her own website and here she is today!
In addition to running her business, she’s also a mother of two, and often times when she’s not in the office, designing, printing or assembling, she’s running around with her children. Juggling both jobs keeps her on her toes for sure! Her studio name describes the pieces she offers, ranging from the chic, lux and upscale invitations to the vintage, rustic and a little shab invitations; but it is also very symbolic. Her daughter was born just before her true adventure in designing invitations; she is the other little chick, for the ‘Too Chic’ part, “two chicks.” The little shab comes in with her son who was born in the heat of success with her previous company. He’s the ‘little shab.’ Julie loves what she does and is committed to helping you create the perfect first impression for your event!
