As we embark on the 4th Annual GrandeMARK Challenge I thought it would be fun to go back and visit last year's winners and ask them a few questions about their GrandeMARK machines and how they use them.
So let us start with Mimi Hernandez, our 2013 Mixed Media category winner.
She used the Bird Cages die in her creation.
Traci: What inspired you to buy a GrandeMARK?
Traci: Do you remember the very first thing you made with your GrandeMARK?
Mimi: The first thing I made was a onesie baby album using the onesie die. That is also the first Youtube video that I uploaded to my channel "Navysis412". That was so fun to make.
Traci: Did you have multiple entries or did you just know this was the one you were going to enter?
Mimi: I entered the GrandMARK challenge in 2012 and 2013. I submitted one project in a few categories. I never thought I would win, I just enjoyed creating and hoped it was pleasing and inspiring.
Traci: What did you buy with you GrandeMark Challenge winnings or if you haven't what are you planning to buy?
Mimi: In my last order with Accucut, some of the things I bought with my winnings were the 6x6 Round Tab Album, Bag-Sleeve, and French Fry Box. I started on some projects, but have not yet completed them.
Currently, I am putting together a pocket mini album using the Bag-Sleeve die and Prima's Cartographer collection, so be on the look out for that.
Thank you so much to Mimi for taking the time to share her projects and her love of creating with the GrandeMARK machine. Be looking for our next one-on-one with a 2013 GrandeMARK Challenge winner and don't forget to enter the 4th Annual GrandeMARK Challenge starting April 1st!
