Cheryl Mezzetti is an accomplished designer and artist who has been working in the paper arts industry for many many years. She has frequently been published in magazines and featured in idea books. She is the current Education Director and Design Team Coordinator for Splash of Color. As an instructor, she has taught at many conventions and scrapbook stores throughout the United States, Canada and Europe. Cheryl is a versatile crafter who has made a name for herself as an altered artist. She turns die cuts into breathtaking works of art using a variety of media, often incorporating patterned papers and scrapbooking embellishments. Says Cheryl, “I believe that each of us has a passion and dream that is unique, and the best way to succeed is to discover what we love and share it with others. My dream is to inspire those around me through teaching and designing using the art of scrapbooking and paper crafting.” Cheryl and her husband Stephen live in Massachusetts and have four sons. Keep up with Cheryl’s work, adventures and travels on facebook, the Splash of Color website and, of course, AccuCut.
Some of my favorite and Cheryl's most popular albums are the Album Builder Series of dies. There are two different album bases to choose from and nine different coordinating Album Builders for all seasons and occasions. All of these albums have fun layering pieces and just a lot of extra die cuts to add value to your projects.
What I also love about Album Builders is that they don't have to be used as an album. Check out the Album Builder-Cake used on a 12" x 12" scrapbook page.
So you see the cute whimsical side of Cheryl Mezzetti, but there is also the altered, mixed media side. Some of her newest albums have really showcased many of the exciting new products from Splash of Color.
Check out this crazy fun Album-Mitt- it actually looks like an old leather glove.
I also just wanted to throw in some of my personal favorites of Cheryl's.
This "sweet" little photo surrounded by Blossoms (3-D) is just so fabulous, and these flowers are awesome layered or on their own.
I wanted to show you this die first because it just such a fantastic set and all the possibilities are just endless. Album-Envelopes is a must have because whether you are using one or all of them, and mix and matching them, you are sure to get a stunning project everytime.
Finally I decided to end my spotlight on Cheryl Mezzetti with an oldie but a goodie. One of Cheryl's first Album's, Album-Petal Flip
I just had to put in the die image because the pages are so unique and different. This is one of those albums you just know you have to make once in your lifetime.
You can see that the talent is just oozing out of this girl, so if you ever get a chance at a show or a local scrapbook store to take one of her classes, jump on it. The extrodinary project you'll create, along with her Boston accent will guarantee one of the best classes you'll ever take.
