So our friend and colleague Paige is having a baby boy (Liam) in March. Of course we had to have a shower for her, and of course we had to decorate using AccuCut dies. Check out this adorable cupcake display using Seals- Circle-1 1/2" and the mats are Seals-Circle 2". I layered them together with a adhesive foam square then placed the toothpick up through the foam in the square. It works awesome!
So under the cupcakes on the top I used the Ribbon Circle-11 1/2". It fit perfect on the Wilton cake holder.
On the bottom row are left over Pennants (which you'll see how we used those in the next photo) that we layered into a circle on the bottom Wilton tray.
So these were super easy to create using the Pennants (Pinnovation) die. Some of the Pennants I just cut with cardstock that matched the patterened paper that I created. Then the beauty of Pinnovation is you can really personalize it with printed letters.
Try not punching holes or making slits in your pennants, but purchasing these cute little wood clothes pins (which I'm pretty sure come in colors) to attach to jute or ribbon. What I love about this is we are going to make these pennant shapes into an album for Paige by binding all the shapes at the top.
Last but not least. Something that is so simple but adds that little something extra, is homemade confetti. I made these stars using Stars-Layering. Again using the same colors in the pennants and the cupcake picks.
In all honesty it took us longer to set it all up then to make all the adorable decorations and accent pieces. Don't forget to share your awesome creations with us on our facebook page, pinterest, here on the blog or on our new instagram accucut_craft.
