I admit, May Day kinda crept up on me, but here are a couple of great dies that would make fun and creative May Day surprises.
I love popcorn, and since it is a traditional May basket stuffer, I created this Popcorn Box with Butterflies #8, Scalloped Circle Frames and Flowers Stems. I love adhering paper to chipboard, then cutting out my shape, like I did here with the scalloped frame. It really adds great "all over" dimension and ensures your entire shape is covered beautifully.
How about this cute little May Day Box I created using the Box #14 die? I surrounded the bottom with the versatile Layering Flower Garden die. This die is great because you can create dozens of unique flowers just with one die.
If you are looking to put just a few small goodies in a container, the Hourglass Bag is your May Day Bag. Assemble the bag and tie it shut with a simple ribbon. Adhere flowers cut from the Flowers #22 die to the front. Glue dots work wonderfully.
You can always get your children involved in this fun process too. Cut out these bags and boxes from just plain, white cardstock and let them get creative by decorating their own with crayons, markers, glitter, sequins, and of course, die cuts! Then assemble and fill with goodies. Happy May Day!
Don't forget, these bag and box dies are versatile and can be used all year round for gift boxes, favors for weddings and much more! To see more bags and boxes, visit our website.
